I have been a signature member of the Midwest Watercolor Society for some years and was pleased to be awarded signature membership status in the National Watercolor Society (NWS) in October of 1999. The painting, "Organ Music", which leads off this exhibit, was the painting accepted into the 1999 NWS annual show. Should you be interested in one of my paintings I suggest you send me an e-mail and we can begin a conversation. All of these paintings are deluxe matted and framed and are under glass (The price includes framing in all cases). Special arrangements can be made for replacing the glass with Plexiglas for shipping. Or, you may choose to purchase only the watercolor and arrange for your own matting and framing. "Organ Music" The inspiration for this painting was St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna, Austria. The late afternoon sun pouring through the clerestory windows high above illuminated the beautiful altar while a magnificent organ played in the background. This painting was accepted into the Midwest Watercolor Society show in August of 1999 and also into the National Watercolor show in Santa Monica, California in October of 1999. "Cape of Good Hope" The southern tip of Africa is called the Cape of Good Hope. Visiting here a few years ago we came across a fishing village on the way to the cape south of Cape Town. "Corral" In the Wikahisson Park in northern Philadelphia, these horses are waiting for the riding class. This brown and white horse was ridden by my granddaughter in her weekly riding lessons. "Greek Fishermen" Santorini, a Greek island formed of a gigantic volcanic irruption centuries ago, is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The city of Fira sits on the edge of of the precipice nearly 1000 feet above the sea. Below the city is a small harbor from which fishermen still ply their trade. "Castle Garden Gate" Ireland in springtime is truly a delightful place to visit. I found this gate at the entrance to a long abandoned castle garden near Howth, just northeast of Dublin. For quite some time I have been urged to exhibit some of my more
serious work on the internet. The watercolors shown here are some of my best work. I trust you will enjoy them! All in all, I paint nearly 100
paintings each year. They range from the more serious paintings displayed here to quick
sketches painted on location on our travels all over the world.
