The watercolors shown here represent some of Rose's current work.
We trust you will enjoy them! All in all, Rose paints nearly 30 paintings each
year. They range from the paintings displayed here to quick sketches painted on
location on her travels all around the world. Rose is a signature member of both the National Watercolor Society (NWS) And the
Transparent Watercolor Society of America (TWSA). In
2004 Rose was awarded "Master" status with the TWSA after having been selected for the
annual national show for 10 years. Should you be interested in one of Rose's paintings we suggest

paintings are deluxe matted and framed and are under glass (The price includes
framing in all cases). Special arrangements can be made for replacing the
glass with Plexiglas for shipping. Or, you may choose to purchase only the

rose@roseedin.com "A Taste of Sweden" "In the summer of 2008 my husband and I visited
Sweden to trace our Swedish roots. We were able to trace the roots of
seven of our grandparents. From this experience I created a series of
paintings of scenes . I Hope you enjoy these paintings!"

"Kalleryds Kyrka" My fathers home church in Sweden
is awesome. He attended this church until he was 19 years old when he
come to America. My grandparents are buried in this cemetery.
"Hudene Stone Bridge" This stone bridge in central
Sweden is several hundred years old. It is built without the use of
cement. My grandfather helped build one like this in central Minnesota.
"Gamla Stan - Kalmar" On the east coast of Sweden is the dramatic town
of Kalmar. Many centers of the old towns have been preserved and are
occupied during the summer months.
"Swedish Window" The Swedes love coffee and it is some of the
best coffee in the world! Driving along a country road we discovered
this lovely coffee house. The geraniums in the window have been nurtured
all winter.
"Jamptland" This is a province in Sweden just south of
Lapland. long the fjord-like coast are lovely little farms.
"Folen Kvarn" Sweden preserves its old buildings. This window
from an old mill is also a coffee house.
"Midsummer's Day" There is nothing more beautiful than the middle
of June when all the flowers are blooming. The days are long and the
Swedish people celebrate this fantastic time of the year.
"Olaf Westberg's Place" We were able to find the actual homes of some of
our great, great grandparents. This
old house had to be the subject of a painting.
"Oland" This is an island off the east coast of Sweden
on the Baltic Sea. The old picturesque windmills are preserved all over
the island.
"Skansen" Hollyhocks bloom all summer. Skansen is in
Stockholm. It boasts a hugh collection of restored buildings from all
over Sweden. These flowers were blooming against a window of an old log
cabin.
"The High Coast" In central Sweden the High Coast is the Fjord
country of Sweden. The rain and mist provide the beautiful forests,
fields and pastures.
"Relics" The old wooden boats are full of water. It looks
like the one in the foreground needs restoration.
"Orebro" The name of this historic town in central Sweden
implies bridges. There are many bridges in the center of town that
surrounds the old Medieval castle. Other Paintings
"Rosatea and Company" Every Italian Tuscan hill town has a unique
character all its own. This shop on a narrow street in Gubbio
immediately drew Rose's attention. A group of puppets are artistically
arranged in the front window.
"Gondola Factory"
In southwest Venice is found one of the few remaining gondola
factories in the old city. Gondolas are still being built by hand here
just as they have been for centuries.
"Retired"
These three fellows were sitting on a bench in Vernazza, Italy,
wiling away the morning hours with the latest news around the town,
while the dog waits patiently to resume her walk.
"Going Home" This painting is from the small village of Santa
Lucia, near Tegucigalpa, Honduras. It was done as a class demonstration
project. The painting won second place at the Sarasota, Florida Art
Center Spring Show.
"King of The Hill" Rose and her class were painting in the little
village of Santa Lucia, just outside of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This
aggressive rooster wanted everyone to understand that they were
intruding on his territory!
"African Artists" In South Africa on the road from Graskop to
Pilgrim's rest, just west of Kruger National park, is a handicraft
park located along side the highway. Rose painted this scene of the
native artists at work.
"Masquerade"
In Venice, Italy, there is the annual Carnival, starting on Ash
Wednesday. Mask making for this festival is a time honored art form in
this city on the Adriatic. The painting was inspired by a display in
a Venetian store window selling masks for Carnival.
"Nepalese Men" This painting was inspired by a group of men sitting
in the old city square in Katmandu, Nepal. The painting was awarded
"Secret Garden" This painting is of two South African children walking
in a park on the outskirts of Nelspruit, South Africa. "South African Lions" In South
Africa's Kruger National Park these two young lions were
taking a morning rest. "Organ
Music" (Click
on image to enlarge) "Organ Music" The inspiration for this
painting was St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna, Austria. The late
afternoon sun pouring through the clerestory windows high above illuminated
the beautiful altar while a magnificent organ played in the background.
This painting was accepted into the Transparent Watercolor Society of
America showing and also into the National Watercolor show in Santa Monica,
California. "Lunch

on image to enlarge) "Lunch Break" On a trip to South Africa in February of 1998, I
visited the Vortrecker Monument in Pretoria. As we prepared to board our bus we
noticed a class of school girls having lunch on the stone steps of the small park near the

of Good Hope" (Click
on image to enlarge) "Cape of Good Hope" The
southern tip of Africa is called the Cape of Good Hope. Visiting here a
few years ago we came across a fishing village on the way to the cape
south of Cape Town. I was intrigue by the lobster boats and the traps
strung out on the sand by the wharf.

The Leopard Turtle was hiding under a branch as our
Vehical came by desert in the desert of Namibia,

"Charge!"
These elephants were grazing on the banks of the Zambezi River that
borders Zambia and Zimbabwe, just a few hundred yards from Victoria
